“No one can stop them…”
…but together, everyone will.
Toiletry kits
Looking for a good community-building activity? Throw a toiletry kit “potluck.” Decide how many kits you’ll make, then ask each person to bring one travel-sized item in sufficient numbers. If you have extra people, throw in a treat or some cash. Click through for lists and more ethical places to buy. Keep them in the car to hand out, put in community pantries, or donate to a shelter.
Self Care
Your exhaustion is part of the plan. Constant crisis wears you out—they hope you’ll give up. Schedule half an hour to sit quietly with a cup of tea or a cocktail. No phones, no news. How are you feeling? What do you need? Schedule more of that. Self-care is resistance.
Document Resistance
If we don’t document what’s happening, who will? If you enjoy photography, videography, or writing, practice your craft. Learn how to use your phone without unlocking it, when to film in vertical or horizontal format, or take an art class! Practice, so you’re ready when an important moment happens.
