We advocate shopping small even if you don’t know the politics of the business, but how much better if you do? If you’re looking for last minute holiday gifts you can feel good about, here are some places to browse:

• The Red Bag supports Black-owned, women-owned, LGBTQIA-owned, veteran-owned, and disability-owned businesses
• The Blue Cart collates woman-owned, BIPOC-owned, queer-owned, military spouse/veteran-led, and generally pro-democracy businesses.
• For in-person shopping, try this map of Queer-friendly businesses.
• The Minocqua Market features “blue owned” businesses (and has gift cards!)
• The Woke Ginger maintains a list of small businesses with descriptions.
