How to do it:
Indivisible and others are calling for a formal boycott of Spotify. They don’t make it easy, so here’s a tutorial and if you want to post about it, use #CancelSpotify to raise the volume. Replacement options include YouTube, Apple Music, and Amazon Music, but we recommend two more artist-focused options:
Tidal is a well-established streaming music platform with tens of millions of songs, including exclusives. It prioritizes artists’ rights and high-quality media, and actively supports emerging artists through various competitions. If your tastes are eclectic or you like to lead the pack, it’s a good option. Read a Review.
Qobuz is an old company with the buzz of the new. It’s gone from an obscure French company to a viable alternative to Spotify with a focus on sound quality in the past few years. If sound quality is a priority and your musical tastes are well established, Qobuz might be a good option. Read a Review.
Then load up some music for resistance!
