Each Step Home

Each Step Home

The atrocities inflicted on young children taken into detention, or left behind when parents are, happen in our name, and on our watch. Each Step Home helps children affected by inhumane detention protocols. From filling commissary accounts so families can buy safe food and water, to obtaining passports for American children whose parents are being deported, Each Step Home fights to keep families together and children safe.

How to do it:

Amid the bigger questions of policy, ethics, law and humanity individuals suffer. Each Step Home focuses on the the least empowered of us all: children. It organizes volunteers and raises funds to do whatever children affected by deportation need, from clean food and water through commissary funds and phone call cards filled, to passports and travel funds to reunite children with deported parents. Donate to their funds, or read some of the children’s stories and volunteer to do more.
