Free Whistles
When we first reported on Whistle Resistance, most links led to Amazon. Today, there’s a group dedicated to nothing but printing free whistles for resistance groups. They never charge, covering costs with donations. As of January 21st, they have shipped more than 127k whistles. Donate to their shipping or filament funds today.
How to do it:
Whistles can run up to $1 each, so groups distributed plans for printing them with 3D printers for as little as five cents each began to spread. Now there’s a group dedicated to nothing else: they’ll ship you 100 or 1000 3D printed whistles, entirely free of charge. While this doesn’t avoid Amazon entirely (many participants have Amazon wish-lists for filament) it does reduce the overall profit margin for big business, and sends whistles to wherever needs them most.
