Grassroots Donors
Occasionally a big-name candidate brags about funding a campaign on small, individual donations. While important, it obscures the fact that it’s the smaller candidates who really need our support most.
With $90 kickbacks headed to many Medicare recipients, folks are asking where to donate. Common answers include Talerico, who is exciting, but also extremely well funded. Instead, look for candidates who aren’t making headline news. Your donation will go further!
How to do it:
Graypac has lists of endorsements across the nation. Read through some of the names you don’t recognize to find someone who is truly aligned with your values.
Vote Save America has a list of House races they’re targeting. Their criteria include winnable competitions in states with higher-profile races at the top of the ballot (for turnout.)
Also consider truly local races like school board, and statewide ballot measures that matter to you. The smaller the race, the further your donation goes!
