Join Indivisible
This action is for the people who hear about protests after they’re over, aren’t sure how to get involved, or are struggling with despair. Join one of the hundreds of Indivisible groups nationwide and you’ll hear about dozens of ways to take action. Get involved and you’ll meet people who are also doing other things. If you don’t know what the first step is, start here.

How to do it:
Indivisible is one of the largest non-heirarchical groups organizing resistance nationwide. They have clear standards including non-violence and provide support for new chapters. They’re also involved in nearly any major effort from protest days to Zoom trainings. And it all started with a couple of people who built a google doc with tips for organizing local government resistance during Trump’s first term. This is how activism builds: through organizing.
There are Indivisible chapters in surprisingly small places, but not all of them are active. Sign up for the one closest to you, and if it’s moribund, join one a little further away. I’m a member of three Indivisible groups and have participated in activities organized by all of them.
