Pamphlets
Communication is resistance. The more oppression, the lower-tech we go to spread the word. Rebuild pre-internet skills now, in case the social media oligarchs crack down openly in the future.
Zines are today’s pamphlets. Designed to print single-sided on any home printer, they’re focused, cohesive, and rely on person-to-person transmission. Help spread the word, or design your own zine. We show you how.
How to do it:
Choose a zine from the list below, or design your own. Learn to fold them, and plan a distribution system. Will you tuck them into Little Libraries? Keep one in your pocket to hand like-minded strangers? Set them out in waiting rooms and lobbies? Slide them between the pages of related books at the library? Your distribution should reflect the topic your zine covers.
You can also create packets with them. Bundle a whistle with a zine explaining how whistle resistance works. Create an afternoon tea break with a few bags of tea and a thoughtful ‘zine.
