Stand in Pride
Are you a straight person who aches for gay kids without supportive family? Someone who knows what it’s like to face a wedding or graduation without support? Maybe you’re an older queer person who has built a great life, and you want to pass it on?
Stand in Pride exists to connect you to queer folks who are isolated from biological family. From walking the brides down the aisle, to showing up with a casserole after surgery, Stand in Pride is a way to find chosen family.

How to do it:
Stand in Pride operates through an App, a bit like a dating application. You can create a profile and make connections with people in your area who are looking for support for specific events or generally, or you can simply make new friends. The app includes a guide to queer-friendly businesses, which can be a good starting point for allyship.
If you aren’t ready for any of that, they also take donations.
