Stop the Bleed
One of the most useful first-aid skills to learn is how to stop bleeding. You can take an in-person or online class to learn basic skills that are useful in a crisis. From escalating government violence on our streets, to FEMA out of commission, this is mutual aid.

How to do it:
In-person classes provide materials and give you the opportunity for feedback on technique. Some classes are free, while others run up to $150. They run from one to two hours long, and are held all over the nation.
You can also take a free online training that will familiarize you with basic tactics. This does not include certification, but is a good option if you cannot fit in a live class, or if you need an orientation or refresher. Skills-only classes are sometimes held for online students who want to be certified, or to have their skills verified.
