Update Avatars
When there’s a big event coming, especially if visibility or a sense of community is important, change your social media images to support community energy.
When possible, use a distinct image (it helps people keep track of who they’re interacting with) but for big events like No Kings, consider using something with useful information like the dates. We’ll drop our No Kings III below.
How to do it:
There are often banners, borders, or images you can use to promote something. Check the event that you’re promoting for options — we used a No Kings poster to make a square image with the date for our avatar, and a screenshot of the home page with nationwide events for the backdrop to build a sense of “you gotta be there!” for viewers. We’ll add images below whenever we make them, for your convenience.
Do be careful about changing your image to people in the news—sometimes the first pictures to emerge are wrong, and sometimes those people (or their families) don’t appreciate the extra scrutiny.
