How to do it:

Choose a book that’s inspired you to take action, helped you in a rough time, or just brought you joy. Buy a copy — used is fine — and put it in a public place for someone else to discover and enjoy.

Bookshop.org lets you support small bookstores in one easy, online location. Better yet, buy in person from a local used bookstore, and pay cash! Bonus points if it’s a banned book! If there are any passages that particularly inspire you that you want to emphasize, or you want the next reader to know why you’re sharing the book, tuck a handwritten note inside as a bookmark.
