Political Donations
We’re all sick of the fund-raising texts, right? If you’ve ever joined a political list, you get dozens. If you ever donated, hundreds.
Ignore them all! Instead, go directly to the candidates you support and donate from their web site.

Why we do it:
Some of those texts are outright fraud, but most are “just” scams: groups that are real, but exist mainly for their own enrichment. Thousands of small “political organizations” have cropped up in the hopes you’ll decide they’re the best way to support Democrats. Ignore all of them. Never respond to an incoming text or email request! Instead, choose one or more candidates you genuinely support, and visit their campaign site. Donate directly to those candidates by going to their web site. The donation link should be easy to find. ๐
It’s important to fund political races we agree with, so candidates not taking money from corporate interests have a chance, but it’s also a massive industry. Treat donations like you would any purchase: only make them through trusted sources, and verify that your money is going where you wanted.
