SEPTEMBER 21st 2026 DEADLINE
The USDA wants to gut the Roadless Area Conservation Rule and open tens of millions of acres of our national forests to destructive logging, drilling, and road building — including iconic public lands from California’s Tahoe National Forest to Alaska’s Tongass National Forest to the Appalachian Trail.

Make your voice heard in opposition to the Trump administration’s push to chop down our forests.

How to do it:

You might feel like making public comments on regime moves doesn’t matter, but it creates a record of opposition. It denies them the inevitable claim that they were just doing what everyone wanted. Denying them that pretense of popularity is critical, and occasionally volumes even rise high enough to change results. When people say “why bother calling or writing—nobody is listening” we need to understand that only extremely rarely do volumes rise enough to matter. We can change that by building habits of on-the-record opposition. Become a vocal advocate and have your say!
