Ridicule is a great way to fight authoritarians. Respect is essential to their fear campaign. Nothing deflates the sense of inevitable power they try to project faster than laughing at them.

From tea parties outside the ICE facility to “war reporters” intoning death and carnage while street festivals played in the background, and of course the now-famous Antifa Frog, Portland brought it!
If you’re a creative type, pick up the theme! This is where community building is preparation. If you have an improv group, stage a public spectacle mocking something the regime is dong. If you’re a citizen journalist with a friend who is a born comedian, ask them to pretend to be a survivor of a blue-city battle and “interview” them. Or create stickers ridiculing the regime with humor.
They want us afraid. Take whatever stupid thing they’re doing and raise the ridicule to 11!
