Opinion shifts with popularity. That’s true from music to politics, so be part of a conscious shift to blame Republicans for what they do. Stickers are a great way to spread a message anonymously. From stickers in public bathrooms with scan codes, to “I did that” Trump stickers on price labels, there are myriad creative opportunities. You can even make your own stickers!
That’s when the next government shutdown will happen, and we need to be ready. Trump showed he’ll leverage any pain he can: sudden disruption to travel, illegal firings and even starving children. The deal Democrats just made puts us in a stronger position in February, but it’ll take another shutdown to leverage that power, so our job is to prepare. The more ready we are, the less pressure Democrats will feel to negotiate, but we have messaging work to do too. Read on and then call your Senator and tell them we’ll be ready, so they better fight.

Splurge on a small treat for yourself. If money is tight, it can be practical, so long as it feels like a reward. New shoes, food you only indulge in occasionally, art supplies…
If money is tight, take items you know you’ll need and wrap them up so they feel special during this season. Find a way to treat yourself, even if it’s something tiny.
We need casual company and a chance to express ourselves. Invite some friends over for a night of anyone-can-do it art and snacks. Provide everything yourself, or go potluck: have folks bring something for the charcuterie tray, a bottle of wine, or a couple of old magazines to cut up. For a holiday twist, collage cards!
