Use every legal means to reduce the money you give this regime via taxes. Here’s an entirely legal one: make contributions to IRA or HSA accounts before the tax deadline, and you can remove that income from your taxes for the prior year.
Every important news story features a flurry of fake news and AI fraud within hours of breaking. It’s impossible sometimes to determine basic facts, and once a story spreads, corrections lag far behind. Most people remember the first thing they read, even if it’s proven wrong later. Slow down. Prioritize accuracy over marginally faster output. Give sensational headlines time to mature. Fascists want you to give up on the truth. Instead, fight for it.
The GOP steals through beurocracy: they made it harder to keep SNAP benefits, and now they’re trying to make it harder to vote through legal hurdles. Any time you hear about or accomplish a bureaucratic task, share your hard-won knowledge. If you check voter registration, share why and how you did it. If you know a friend needs a passport, offer to help them figure it out.

The SAVE act would disenfranchise anyone who can’t produce a passport, or a birth certificate and current picture ID that match. It does more than that to steal the midterms, so call your Senator right now to tell them you oppose the SAVE act and will remember how they voted. If your Senator is a Democrat, thank them for fighting. The GOP is trying to spook them.
In a healthy country our elections would be fair, free and funded. Push back on the GOP’s voter disenfranchisement efforts by donating the price of coffee or a dinner to organizations fighting for fair elections.
