Before fascism descended, we had real problems. Now we have all those and more. It’s easy to give up hope, but critical that we remember what we’re fighting for. Imagine what you WANT, not just what you’re afraid of. Brainstorm steps to build what you want with a friend, or throw a Hope Party!
Periodically choose one thing you buy regularly, and find a better source for it. Whether it’s craft supplies like yarn, or better clothes to get you off the fast fashion cycle, investing time in identifying one new supplier periodically pays off with big systemic shifts.
Memorial day is hard on military folks. Even if you’re estranged from military MAGA, reach deep for human compassion and consider reaching out today. Don’t wish them a happy Memorial Day — this is a day to honor those who died in service. This is a particularly good opportunity to rebuild connections fractured by politics. A simple “Thinking of you and hoping you have a meaningful day” works.
