Your actions matter!

We provide simple ways to reclaim your power, push back helplessness, and become part of the solution. It won’t make you a hero – or a martyr – but research suggests that if even 3.5% of the nation takes regular small action, we win!

How to get started

The Front Page

Every day the front page has three actions. Pick something that interests you and just go do it. If you can’t do it today, put it on the calendar! If you don’t get it perfect, that’s okay! Getting started is what matters.

If you’re an “all the details” person, click through and you’ll find useful tips and links.

Quick Picks

If nothing on the front page appeals, or if you’re inspired and want to do more, you can browse through all actions, throw a dart, or choose a category of action from the menu.

Use this site any way you want. Share specific posts, categories of action, or go through once a month and add ideas to your calendar.

Social Media

Shasta’s Facebook feed is where it started. Come for the politics, stay for the cute dog pics. You can follow, or send a friend request and a message.

Bluesky is the daily posts, cut to fit, and absolutely nothing else. Not even political posts!

Substack has the daily posts and also essays that dive more deeply into current political issues, or resistance theory and inspiration.

Take a step:

We believe it is better to do something than nothing. If you’re busy, and all you can do is one action a week, thank you for doing what you can! Life gets busy, but we hope you’ll love making the world a better place so much, you’ll never want to stop. Do what you sustainably can—this is a marathon.

We hope you’ll make resistance a way of life.

Want to help us?

We practice what we preach: this web site has evolved quite a bit since it’s launch. With hundreds of posts, we’re exploring new ways to organize. If there’s something you tried to do, but could on the site, we want to hear about it.

If you find this resource useful, help us spread the word. Print business cards on any two-sided printer. Hand them out, or add them to little gift-packs to leave in public spaces.
