Most of these bills rely on fear-mongering and misleading language, because the truth wouldn’t win. Once you have the facts in hand, call local politicians and tell them how you feel. If you don’t, Indivisible is a good default starting point. They’re in most areas, committedly non-violent, and you’ll learn what’s going on as you meet people. Indivisible isn’t everyone’s last stop in activism, but it’s a good first step.
