Splurge!
Splurge on a convenience that will free up time or energy for resistance work. If you always burn the rice, get a rice cooker and call your Senator every time you use it. (Messages count!)

What’s our logic?
It might seem counterintuitive to splurge when the economy is crashing and people’s needs are at an all-time high, but investing in your own stability helps you keep fighting. If there is a small luxury you want, but feel self-indulgent about, ask yourself: could I leverage this for resistance? Would it clear up some time, or some emotional energy to fight back? Would it allow me to do new or different things to be effective?
If you get a cooking convenience, could you share meals with a neighbor? Take the time to read a book about activism? If you get your car detailed, would you finally feel comfortable offering rides to protests? If you buy take-out, will that let you get to the meeting tonight? What can you do to clear the path for activism?
