ICE block

ICEICE is the regime’s private army — at least that’s what they signaled in the “Big Beautiful Budget” when they funded it at levels equivalent to Italy or Israel’s military budget. Resisting ICE is a moral imperative on humanitarian grounds, but it is also a practical necessity: what they get away with against non-citizens today, Trump threatens citizens with tomorrow.

From Whistle-Resistance to subtler defiance, we collect resources here. Learn how to video-tape a detention, or get inspiration for spreading the word and documenting ICE’s bad behavior. ICE are cowards: where people organize and resist, they leave quickly. They were in Charlotte N.C. for less than a week, after 600 people showed up for trainings, 30,000 students walked out in protest, and someone slashed their tires in the middle of the night. (We do not, of course, encourage illegal actions. This site “keeps it green” with legal resistance.)

NDLON immigration

Adopt a corner

Do you want to support immigrants more directly, but don’t know how to get started? The National Day Laborer Organizing Network (NDLON) is asking people who are NOT at risk of detention (citizens, ideally white) to adopt a location where immigrants look for dayjobs. They hope to find a team for each location and establish relationships over time. They have training materials and more.

street art ICE

Map ICE

Gestapo-like abductions are happening wherever you are. Bring attention to this fact with signs documenting where people have been snatched. Use chalk, stencils, yellow flowers or other markers to let passers-by know an atrocity occurred here, where they live.

Anne Frank

Hiding people

If you are a white American, it’s time to decide if you’d really hide Anne Frank. Don’t worry—what you need to do is easier than that, and it’s still legal. Start with some simple steps and work your way up to being a temporary hideout. [YELLOW ACTION]

ICE

“No ICE, please!”

ICE acts like it can go anywhere and do anything. Public places can push back by posting private areas (like kitchens) as off-limits. This is legal notification to ICE that they may not pass without a judicial warrant. Spread resources to local businesses to help them join, and publicize and thank the businesses that do.

Whistle Warriors

Whistle Resistance

Whistle brigades directly protect your neighbors by letting vulnerable people know ICE is nearby, and by calling observers to active ICE detentions. Familiarize yourself with how it works and then spread the word through whistle-packs, trainings, or rapid response groups.
