If you don’t want to battle crowds for a big protest, join (or start!) a small one peripheral to the main event. Visibility Brigade will have overpass events, or check other standing protest groups for adjunct events. If there’s nothing, protest with a friend! Small protests in remote or deep-red places inspire people nationwide! Report your numbers to the Crowd Counting Consortium, and you’ll add to the total!

Even a lunch trip to Canada will help remind you that our nation didn’t always feel like this. If you can’t risk a border crossing, or can’t afford international travel, plan a trip inside America. Whether you take a roadtrip or fly to a very different place for a long weekend, get out and meet people a little different from yourself.

The GOP steals through beurocracy: they made it harder to keep SNAP benefits, and now they’re trying to make it harder to vote through legal hurdles. Any time you hear about or accomplish a bureaucratic task, share your hard-won knowledge. If you check voter registration, share why and how you did it. If you know a friend needs a passport, offer to help them figure it out.

The SAVE act would disenfranchise anyone who can’t produce a passport, or a birth certificate and current picture ID that match. It does more than that to steal the midterms, so call your Senator right now to tell them you oppose the SAVE act and will remember how they voted. If your Senator is a Democrat, thank them for fighting. The GOP is trying to spook them.
Many medical offices are integrating AI-mediated note taking. In a different world where LLMs prioritized accuracy and practices weren’t squeezed for every dime of profit, this wouldn’t necessarily be a bad thing. That’s not our world. In this world over-worked medical staff don’t have the time to review notes based on pattern-matching and hallucination. Say no thanks until and unless a legally guaranteed process for correcting medical records is implemented.
