Help others vote

Voting is confusing, until you know how to do it. Help a first-time voter research issues and candidates, or offer rides to the polls for people who struggle with transportation.

Once a person votes, they are far more likely to vote again. Find your starfish, and help them vote!

Fund Free Elections

In a healthy country our elections would be fair, free and funded. We get there by funding the groups working for that future. From voter registration to legal challenges for questionable outcomes, it all takes time and money. Today, we donate: the price of a coffee, a dinner, or a night at the Opera : whatever you can afford. Click through for suggestions.

Vote!

Republicans gerrymander, purge voter rolls in blue places, create ID obstacles and work for low turnout. Propaganda machines churn out claims you’re a chump if you vote (protest, call Congress, boycott…)

What does that tell you? Your vote matters! Our elections aren’t particularly fair, but they aren’t shams either. Overwhelm them by voting EVERY race on EVERY ballot.

It’s a win-win for you: targeted ads are designed to appeal to your impulses, not your needs, and they fuel Amazon’s significant marketing power.

Snack stop

Do you run a mutual-aid or community-building space? Set up a temporary snack stop. Just clear a bookshelf or table and put out a bowl of healthy snacks for anyone who is hungry. It’s an easy way to help feed people who aren’t used to needing help.

Or convert a little free library into a pantry or snack-stop until the shutdown is resolved.
