GenAI is a tool, as useful or dangerous as those who control it. That’s the oligarchs and the regime, right now. We recommend avoiding GenAI whenever possible, but if you do use it, avoid Grok and ChatGPT. Grok is obvious, but ChatGPT shifted from non-profit to Trump’s biggest donor and it fuels ICE, too. Use open-source instead, if you choose to partake.
Go to a museum. Visit a park. Ride the bus. If we don’t use public resources, they look expendable. When we appreciate them, we stand up for them. Pay admission, or check your city for “public access” dates. (In Seattle, that’s the first Thursday of each month.)
The SAVE act is back in the House as MEGA, but it’s the same vote-grab : they require you to prove your citizenship with documents many people don’t have. Obtain certified copies of your birth certificate and any name-changes now. Don’t wait. If you changed your name during marriage, consider getting a passport, as the name-change process may have been informal. If you are gender non-conforming, consult a legal expert before taking action.
