This action is for the people who hear about protests after they’re over, aren’t sure how to get involved, or are struggling with despair. Join one of the hundreds of Indivisible groups nationwide. Help Count Crowds

Thousands of “ICE out for Good” protests are happening in a rolling protest that began spontaneously and is gaining momentum. Organizing large events takes time, so this is happening everywhere — there are six protests within ten miles of me this weekend. If you attend a protest with fewer than 100 people, submit a report to the Crowd Counting Consortium and Alt Nat’l Parks. Instructions at link.

Reward Restaurants

The food industry is one of the few not utterly monopolized in America. Protests can disrupt and drive away business, so if you’re turning out to an event, spend some money (cash is good!) at a nearby business. Take your sign along, and be a good customer.

Look for three humorous or inspiring stories about resistance today. Verify, then share them. There is a widespread idea that Americans aren’t doing anything, but in fact we’re everywhere, every day, creatively resisting. It’s up to us to get the word out.

Public Funding

The Corporation for Public Broadcasting was defunded and is now shutting down to avoid being mis-used. This leaves PBS, NPR, and hundreds of local radio and tv stations in our hands. Donate or buy merchandise to keep them going!
