Get tickets to a museum or arboretum. Have lunch at a local restaurant. Check shops for locally-made holiday gifts. Find out what makes your home great, invest in local venues and products, and tell people!
Bonus: if you’re near a target city (Portland, Chicago etc.) take a road trip and post pictures!
Locate minority owned businesses in your area. Restaurants are a good start, but branch out. Create a list of interesting local places and then visit them. Leave reviews (google, facebook, yelp) when you find “local gems.”
