Spend Money

If you’re tight on time, every resistance group can use money towards the fight! We try to offer a mix of options from recurring donations to vetted groups, to spending changes that put your money to work for your values.

Pay MN Rent

While we prepare to protest, rent is due in Minneapolis and around the country families are missing their wage-earners, can’t risk going to work, or have lost wages fighting ICE due to closures, walkouts, and tear gas shutdowns.

Contribute to a rent fund on StandwithMinnesota.com or an immigrant support group.

Protest funding

From permits to porta-potties the logistics of gathering people together is significant. Add in security, medics and legal observer programs, and organizing protests is full-time activism with a significant budget. Donate the price of a movie ticket or dinner out to whoever is organizing No Kings III in your area. Especially if you can’t go!

Protests aren’t for everyone. If you can’t attend, subsidize the protest! Sponsor a seat on a community bus, offer to taxi friends, help with sign making, or shop at sympathetic businesses. (Tell them why!) There are lots of ways to support participation, even if you can’t attend the protest Sunday. Click through for more inspiration.

Buy Bling

You have your protest sign…but do you have your protest outfit? From t-shirts to pins, wear something that takes the protest from the streets to wherever you go the rest of the day. Visit nearby businesses impacted by the protest and buy something. Tip well. If you have extra stickers or pins, pass them out to people who had to work and were sorry to miss the protest. Share protest energy wherever you go.

Support Artists

Pay an artist a fair fate for a custom protest sign. Donate to the venmo of musicians playing the protest. Give the fabric artist who made dozens of frog hats or rainbow scarves cash for yarn. Artists lead the resistance. Give them money.
