Do you send physical thank you cards? While you’re writing yours this holiday season, send a few to politicians who have done things you’re grateful for this year. Bonus points if it’s your own rep, but send them to anyone you think is fighting hard for us, especially if they may have national aspirations.

Charitable Changes

If you’ve been planning a significant year-end donation, but don’t itemize your taxes, WAIT! The rules change in 2026 and if you don’t itemize but do make donations up to a few thousand dollars, you might be better off procrastinating just a few more days. It depends on your finances, so check!

Build a Squad

Build a group of 3-6 people who have similar resistance values and priorities. Plan an action together. Pick something simple: a protest, calling Senators, writing postcards. You’re laying foundations for a core group you trust, so start small.

FSA/HSA

If you have a flexible spending account or other health-related funds that expire annually, use it, don’t lose it! Restock supplies in your home, get an extra pair of glasses, and if there’s more, use it to help other people or stock up on over-the-counter medical supplies to donate supplies to charities.
